!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! I need to get some good pictures of it the next time I borrow it. Last time I borrowed it, it ran out of gas in my grandmothers driveway (no gas gauge, no odometer). The back hatch doesn't work, the radio keeps turning itself on and trying to eject a cassette that it doesn't have, the fog lights worked once a year ago, drivers door handle is broken, window weather seals aren't really there, the front windshield will let air in if you push on it slightly, interior is mostly kinda there... What a car!

It has a full GT4 exhaust with a rear muffler delete so at least it sounds good.

Mine was a 928S4, I think a 1987. So much of what you describe is very familiar.

But those sounds! Used to put a smile on my face ever time I fired up that V8. :-)

Thanks! Sadly it's too late for me...I sold the car years ago so now all I have are the memories. Curiously, the car doesn't work much better in those, either. :-)

memories are cheaper than 928 maintenance. We tried pushing this car into his lower garage one time because it was outside for whatever reason, I forget. Even without the engine we couldn't get it to move. My friend was like "so what do you think of my dream car?" and as I'm struggling to move the car up the ever so slight incline "your dream sucks, this is a nightmare"

wow that sucks, the pictures of the engine are so beautiful. I thought hang on maybe us non porsche owners are missing out on something. Then I remember the maintenance costs.

This is my car and I approve of this thread. I have tons of money into this car and it still needs so much interior and electrical work, but it runs extremely well and I just kind of like how goofy the 928 is, both in outward appearance and in overall execution and packaging of the engine and driveline. Unless someone offers me a significant fraction of what I have into it, I'm sure I will keep plugging away slowly at it. It's garaged and out of the weather so I guess I am "collecting" it?
